Shipley Nature Center

A 10-acre native habitat preserve featuring walking trails, educational exhibits, and wildlife viewing.

Shipley Nature Center preserves a rare example of Southern California's native habitats within Huntington Central Park. Visitors can explore peaceful walking trails through oak woodland, wetlands, meadows, and coastal sage scrub while learning about local plants, birds, reptiles, and other wildlife. Educational exhibits, guided programs, and volunteer-led activities make the center a favorite destination for families, students, photographers, and anyone interested in local ecology. While the nature center is free to visit, a suggested donation of $5 is encouraged.
